Rush Hour News: HTC’s new tablet Flyer
HTC today announced the Flyer, a 7-inch tablet running one of the most heavily customized versions of Android I’ve ever seen.
The Flyer integrates all sorts of new technologies: a new 3D UI, OnLive cloud-based console gaming, a new streaming movie-and-video store from Saffron Digital, and even a capacitive pen which lets you scribble words on the screen to launch actions.
“We’ve been thinking long and hard about, how can we drive the next evolution of tablets? We’re not interested in rushing out another me-too device,” HTC CEO Peter Chou said.
