Libya latest news rebels loosing ground

The Libyan rebel forces have given up ground to the advancing forces of Gaddafi troops last evening and as a result the US has come under enormous amounts of pressure to arm the rebel forces. This also comes on the news that the United Nations has also appointed a specialized humanitarian envoy.

After the celebration of rebel forces taking the oil port of Ras Lanuf, they have been seen pulling back as fighter jets have targeted rebel defenses at the edges of town. Because of the most viscous and bloody battles that have been seen since the start of the three week conflict, this Sunday UN forces have demanded access to the injured and dying as a result of the battles in Misrata. A care provider in Misrata has said because of the shelling and clashes that 21 people, including a child, have been killed.
